Defense Ammunition Center

The US Army Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) is under the command of the US Army Combined Arms Support Command in Fort Lee, VA. DAC is located on the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP), in McAlester Oklahoma.

The DAC encompasses Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) G4 Logistics Review and Technical Assistance Office (LRTAO), the U.S. Army Technical Center for Explosives Safety (USATCES), Training Directorate, and Support Operations. DAC's operation spans across 18 military installations in 14 states and two countries. DAC is the Army's sustainment think tank and premier learning institution, delivering game-changing professionals and solutions.

Provides Army munition operations and management globally through the execution of HQDA G4 LRTAO reviews of ammunition logistics, surveillance, and explosives safety operations. Responsible for the technical execution and management of all Army-wide explosives safety, munitions risk management, storage, transportation, and chemical agent safety aspects related to the technical implementation of the Department of the Army (DA) explosives safety program.

DAC provides ammunition, logistics, surveillance, explosives safety, packaging, and HAZMAT certification training for military, Department of Defense (DoD) Civilians, contractors, and related professionals from Army, joint, interagency and international communities, as well as knowledge management services to Warfighters and business process owners across DoD. Training includes basic and advanced technical, functional, and management training used to develop competencies for personnel filling both staff and line positions supporting the DoD.

Products

The Directorate for Training provides ammunition-related training for Department of Defense (DOD) military and civilian personnel. We offer a variety of training through our on-site mobile training teams (MTTs), regional training site (RTS) facilities, and distance learning products. As part of the U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center (DAC), we are well-equipped to develop and provide training in all aspects of munitions-related training for AMC, DA, and other DOD personnel and agencies.
