Register for Course (Lessons and Exam)

Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each lesson. 75% of these must be answered correctly to continue in the course. After three unsuccessful attempts on the same, individual assessment, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

This is a certification course in accordance with AR 385-10/DA Pam 385-64. It is designed to teach basic safety and technical aspects involved in hands-on exposure to ammunition and explosives items and/or operations. Course content introduces the characteristics of different classes of ammunition and explosives, also the safe handling procedures and explosive safety requirements for the receipt, storage, maintenance, demilitarization, and issue of ammunition at U.S. Army installations.

This course is intended for personnel directly involved in hands-on exposure to ammunition items and/or operations, and others who must fulfill the certification requirements of AR 385-10/DA Pam 385-64.

Approximately 12 hours (self-paced learning)

This course is provided as a web-based course. Students must have web access, a CAC card, and an AKO account. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. It is recommended that you have a high-speed Internet connection in order to view the course.
