Description: This course provides preparation and review of Navy site plans submitted for various explosives facilities. This course includes an in-depth review of Department of Defense (DoD) quantity distance standards and an application of these standards in the form of a Facility Design Problems Workshop.

Length: 5 Days

Audience: Navy/Marine Corps facility planners responsible for explosives facilities at shore installations, safety department personnel responsible for review of facility site plans, or individuals who fall within the review chain of a typical Navy/Marine Corps facility site plan. Identification of students for whom this course is either mandatory or recommended is given in Appendix D of NAVSEA OP 5, Volume 1. NOTE: Proponent has determined this course is not releasable to International Military Students.

Prerequisites: None.

The IACET Standard: DAC has been approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).  In obtaining this accreditation, the Defense Ammunition Center has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is recognized internationally as a standard of good practice. The DAC awards 3.8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) on the course certificate for successful completion of this course.
